Three Fun Facts

  • Eli Manning, who has played in 220 games, has thrown 38 touchdowns – the most to an individual player – to Odell Beckham, Jr. Beckham has played in only 51 games.
  • Cam Newton is currently third all-time in rushing by a quarterback behind Michael Vick and Randall Cunningham – Newton needs only 27 rushing yards to pass Randall Cunningham for the most rushing yards by a QB with a single team.
  • Carolina is coming off their earliest bye week since 2013 – that year they went 1-2 before the bye and 11-2 after it.

Two Fat Stats

  • Eli Manning’s completion percentage after four games sits at 74.2% – on third down this season, he has the most completions and highest quarterback rating in the NFL to go along with the second-most passing yardage.
  • Cam Newton has the second-most rushing yards by a quarterback (136) in the NFL. He’s only played three games.

One Bold Prediction

Maybe not a bold prediction, but I think the Panthers have at least two fumble recoveries and score a touchdown on defense – heck, let’s get even more specific and say that one of those comes from Julius Peppers.
