If the Panthers pass on safety in the first two rounds, could they select a player that needs development to hopefully contribute as the season wears on? Could quality run defense and flashes of talent be enough to put Marcus Allen on Carolina’s radar?

If the Panthers don’t go with a safety in Rounds 1 or 2 of the draft, an athletic prospect like Godwin Igwebuike could be exactly what they need to come in and compete for a starting role.
