The Panthers defense turned in another dominant performance against what had previously been the best passing offense in the league as Kurt Coleman and Luke Kuechly returned to lead the team in tackles and pick up two fumble recoveries and an interception to help the Panthers defeat the Buccaneers 17-3 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. While the offense wasn’t clicking on all cylinders, they didn’t need to as the defense and punter Michael Palardy controlled this game and made it nearly impossible for Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers to score. Cam Newton threw a 25-yard touchdown to Kelvin Benjamin on a poor play by safety Justin Evans and Jonathan Stewart added a 1-yard touchdown to cap a 17-play first quarter drive and that was all the scoring necessary to keep the Panthers above .500 and within a game of first place in the NFC South. Check out some selected pictures from official Riot Report photographer Jesse Fraetis and relive the win with our full recap. Check back tomorrow and Tuesday for analysis of the game as we look ahead to another division game with Atlanta next Sunday at Bank of America Stadium, but for now, enjoy the pictures and the win!
