February 27th kicks off a week-long festival of athleticism and mental skills workouts live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Township, IN at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine. The amount of stock one puts into the results however, certainly varies by person; to some scouts and fans, the time of a 40 yard dash could cement a prospect to their NFL roster, while former Panthers General Manager (and current New York Giants GM) Dave Gettleman has expressed less interest in seeing “guys run in their underwear”, stressing that many solo drills without pads don’t necessarily translate into 11-on-11 football. So how exactly have some of the Panther greats fared in the combine before they were household NFL names?
