All NFL teams must cut their rosters from 90 players to 53 by 4 p.m. Saturday – with the Panthers having an extra player due to Efe Obada’s International Player Pathway Designation, the team has even more work than other teams to do before the roster takes it shape; don’t forget that the team will also be scouring the waiver wire for help as the 31 other teams each cut almost 40 players on their way to Week 1 – the roster at 4p today likely won’t be exactly the same as it is when the Panthers face Dallas next weekend.

The team has converted $6.8m of Luke Kuechly’s contract into a signing bonus, freeing up $5.1m of cap space in 2018, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
