While the news hasn’t been focused on the Atlanta Falcons around Bank of America Stadium this week, the Panthers will head to Atlanta to take on their hated division rivals this weekend and they’ll likely be missing two Gregs when they take that four hour drive down I-85 (don’t worry, they’re flying) as both rookie tackle Greg Little and veteran tight end Greg Olsen have missed both practices thus far this week.

Little is still battling a high ankle sprain that kept him out last week against the Redskins, so the Panthers will likely start sixth-round rookie Dennis Daley for the sixth game this season at left tackle, but interim head coach Perry Fewell has been impressed with what he’s seen from the rookie.

“He’s really had two good days of practice,” said Fewell. “I stood behind the offense in practice this week and we’ve talked about how we need to get better on both sides of the line – offensive and defensive lines. I think he’s done that.”

“He’s working his butt off.”

Greg Olsen remains in the concussion protocol and is unlikely to be available – the Panthers will use a combination of Ian Thomas, Chris Manhertz and Alex Armah to take the place of the three-time Pro Bowl tight end. While Olsen was out on the practice fields for a few minutes early in the session, he headed back inside for most of practice.
