The Panthers lost 28-23 on Thursday Night Football to the Philadelphia Eagles, but solace can be taken in the fact that the Panthers played extremely poorly against an excellent team, with dropped passes and interceptions hurting them in the passing game, and poor blocking keeping them from getting anything going on the ground. Cam Newton was forced to do everything himself, while most games end up with this being the case, it was even more true today; the quarterback had 52 pass attempts and 11 rushes but ended up with three turnovers. The Panthers lost their leader on defense as Luke Kuechly entered the concussion protocol for the third time in three years and the Panthers fell to 4-2 against another playoff-caliber team.
