On Friday and Saturday, the Cam Newton Foundation held their fifth annual high school football 7-on-7 tournament at Providence Day School with 20 teams from the Charlotte area doing their best to not only win the tournament, but perhaps impress some collegiate scouts in attendance. Nations Ford High were the ultimate winners of the championship trophy, but all the teens were awestruck by the host taking some time to interact with them and make some remarks. “Fine-tune your life and perfect yourself,” Newton said. “Because when you do that, everything around you will flourish.”
