Panthers fans came literally from all over the world to see the Carolina Panthers defeat the San Francisco 49ers 23-3 to move to 1-0 on the season. But being a part of the Roaring Riot’s Bay Area Takeover isn’t just about going to the game. It’s about meeting Panthers fans from Brazil and Mexico, about making new friends and getting reacquainted with old ones. From the playing shuffleboard at the Golden Gate Tap Room in Union Square to sipping Irish Coffees in Fisherman’s Wharf to riding a rollercoaster outside Levi’s Stadium, the Bay Area was turned black and blue this weekend. If you think the Roaring Riot didn’t bring two buses and almost two hundred people to see the Panthers exorcise their Super Bowl demons against Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers, you don’t know how the Roaring Riot rolls. Check out some photos below from the tailgate to the welcome party to the game itself. Want to join us on the next trip? Head to the official Roaring Riot website for more details. If you couldn’t make San Francisco, you won’t want to miss Detroit. Or Boston. Or Tampa. You should probably just come to all of them.
