While the Panthers lost 22-10 to the Atlanta Falcons, they’ll still be heading to the playoffs, albeit as the fifth seed and playing on the road in New Orleans instead of hosting a game in Charlotte as the NFC South champions. But they’ve still qualified for the tournament towards the Super Bowl at 11-5 even as they’ve played six of the 12 playoff teams during the regular season, going 4-3 in seven games against the teams that qualified.
