The Panthers entered their Week 10 matchup with the Packers without their top corner James Bradberry – when Ross Cockrell (60) went down in the first half with a knee injury, the Panthers turned to Cole Luke (11); then an injury to Donte Jackson (60) forced the Panthers to utilize Javien Elliott (32) on the outside. Elliott had primarily played inside corner this season and Luke had just been called up from the practice squad – but the mismatched lineup in the secondary was able to hold Aaron Rodgers without a touchdown pass, despite having limited experience playing together. The team also used Colin Jones (5) in the first half, as the absence of Bradberry forced coaches to make some adjustments to substitution packages.

Along the defensive line, rookie Brian Burns continued to see his snap counts decrease as he only played 11 snaps, his fewest of the season after playing 71% of the snaps last week against the Titans. Newly signed Wes Horton (19) played 28% of the snaps with Vernon Butler (28) still battling a back injury that kept him out of practice most of the week. Mario Addison (57) and Bruce Irvin (57) both played 84% of the defensive snaps – a season high for each.

On the offensive side of the ball, when rookie left tackle Dennis Daley (44) went down with a leg injury in the second half, Daryl Williams (29) came in and played 40% of the snaps at right tackle as Taylor Moton moved over to the left side – D.J. Moore played 100% of the snaps, the first time in his career that’s happened – the second-year wideout also returned punts.

Newly signed wide receiver Donte Moncrief was active but did not see the field, but DeAndrew White (2) took a couple of snaps in addition to acting as kick returner.
