After the announcement earlier this year that the Panthers would be taking their first trip across the pond, fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the exact date so that they could begin planning – in fact, almost 1,000 Roaring Riot members put their deposits down to secure their spot on the Roaring Riot trip for this chance to see their favorite team play in London, sight unseen, without any of the details being presented.

Now, those details have arrived.

The NFL confirmed today what sources told The Riot Report earlier this week, that the Panthers would be playing their first ever international game against the division rival Buccaneers on October 13 during Week 6 of the 2019 season. The game will take place at Tottenham Hotspur’s newly-opened stadium in London – the second NFL contest in the stadium after Week 5’s Bears-Raiders matchup at the stadium that opened earlier in 2019.

Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET, which will be 2:30 British Summer Time.

The Panthers-Bucs will be one of four games played in London, which will also feature Bears-Raiders, Texans-Jaguars and Bengals-Rams in London, the latter two of which will be played in Wembley Stadium. All three of the winning teams during the U.K. series last season – the Chargers, Seahawks and Eagles – made the playoffs in 2018.

The Bucs will be the home team for this matchup against the Panthers, so Carolina will maintain all eight games at Bank of America Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium, which is home to the Tottenham Hotspur in north London, has a capacity of 62,062 – that makes it the largest club stadium in London and one of the largest in the English Premier League, but small compared to NFL stadiums in the United States; Bank of America Stadium holds over 75,000 fans.

A small number of deposits remain available for Roaring Riot’s The London Calling trip.
