A little rain wasn’t going to stop the Roaring Riot from taking over more of the Jacksonville cabanas this year; the fact that it was a preseason game on a Thursday wasn’t going to make a difference either. The pools at EverBank Field are an experience that can’t be missed, and dozens of Panthers fans made the trip down to Jacksonville for a day of relaxing by the pool on the riverfront with their fellow fans before making a river taxi trip towards the stadium as the thunder clouds rolled in. The thunder and lightning couldn’t scare the Riot away as the lure of all-you-can-eat-and-drink was so enticing they braved the downpour to the pools. Once the storms passed (or at least lightened), the party continued long into the night.  The Roaring Riot Jacksonville Takeover 2017 was enjoyed by all, and the “Luuuuke” chants echoed throughout the stadium whenever the linebacker made a tackle; it was clear the Roaring Riot was in the building.

“Oh, without a doubt. They were pretty loud. They’re getting ready.”

– Tight End Ed Dickson, when asked if he could hear the Panthers fans in Jacksonville.
