The Panthers beat the Buccaneers 22-19 in an ugly game that saw the Panthers struggle on both offense and defense before pulling out a win thanks to a lucky bounce on a bobbled snap along with key contributions from little-used wideouts Brenton Bersin and Kaelin Clay. The defensive line wreaked havoc on Jameis Winston throughout the game, bringing Winston down five times and forcing three fumbles, but big plays in the passing game kept the Buccaneers in it until Kawann Short stripped Winston with thirty seconds left to allow the Panthers to run the victory formation and win their seventh out of the last eight games.
