The other appeal with Ta’amu is his ability as a ball carrier, and while this is never going to be the core of what of quarterback does, given the Panthers’ system, this does have some value:

Ta’amu does some nice things and some really bad things – that’s why he’s not likely to get drafted on the first two days of the draft. If a team thinks that there is enough to work with, and that he has the ability to improve with coaching, he’ll have some real value on the final day of the draft, but his floor is about as low as it can get.
